Bachchan family is the famous face of Bollywood for westerners. But a cold war ensued when Shilpa Shetty won in the reality show Bigg Brother. She became more popular overseas compared to the Bachchans.

Shilpa Shetty might have unwittingly highjacked the Bachchans’ overseas territory, which they considered a very profitable area in all respects, especially for their live shows.

Big B has been the brand ambassador of IIFA awards for quite some time now, and the function is generally regarded as the family show of Bachchans.

But after Shilpa Shetty came on the overseas scene, the Bachchans have been losing their ground consistently. The limit was crossed when a fan of Shilpa Shetty flew an artificial airplane with a huge banner having the name of Shilpa Shetty, at the venue of latest IIFA award function.

Bachchans don’t seem to have forgotten the embarrassment.At the event and elsewhere, Bachchan family has kept a conscious distance from Shilpa.

Now, Big B replaces Shilpa as the host of Bigg Boss in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss,which used to be Shilpa’s territory.
