Bigg Boss, the Baap of all reality shows which was aired on Sony last year was a stupendous success!! The second season to be premiered on the new channel COLORS from August 17th promises to be bigger, meaner and better than before.
‘Bigg Boss Season 2’, the Indian version of the internationally acclaimed show – Big Brother, that will premiere on the channel on August 17th 2008. The sensuous Shilpa Shetty, winner of last season’s Big Brother UK has been roped in to host the ‘Indian’ version of the show. So get ready everyday for a bigger, better, meaner and gruesome real-time drama, ‘BIGG BOSS SEASON 2’, premiering August 17th, everyday (Monday to Sunday), at 10:00 p.m. Only on COLORS.

Located 200 kms away from Mumbai and sprawled over 10,000 square feet of land, the Bigg Boss will feature 14 contestants whose movements will be tracked over 84 days, 24* 7 by 32 cameras. Though the names of the contestants will be revealed in the very first episode.

No wonder the makers have roped her to host the second season of ‘Bigg Boss‘. The show will be aired on the new channel ‘Colors‘ and will feature a lot of newsmakers instead of celebrities.

It‘s interesting to note that shows which were aired on Sony earlier have gone to Colors. First ‘Fear Factor‘ and now this! These people seem to be serious about the cut throat channel competition!

Considering that gruesome drama, backbiting and a lot of bitching is the USP of the show, these controversial people fit the bill perfectly.

It‘s said that the makers have approached all the controversial newsmakers possible. Aamir Khan‘s good for nothing brother Faisal Khan is said to be a part of the show.

It has also been reported that Raja Choudhary, actress Shweta Tiwari‘s troublesome and pesky husband, the ‘doped dramebaaz‘ Jhanvi- the girl who tried to kill herself during the Ash-Abhishek wedding, limelight loving Congress spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam, , sleazy starlet Sambhavna Seth and TV big mouth Ketki Dave of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi‘ fame have all been approached for the show.

‘Bigg Boss Season 2’ presents the unique combination of reality and real unscripted drama. It is the ultimate reality where 14 handpicked strangers will be locked in a house…here we are talking about REAL people, REAL emotions and REAL drama. As the 14 hand picked contestants vie with each other to survive in the Bigg Boss Season 2 house, irritation, backbiting and backstabbing reach it’s prime.
