Court rejects actor Faisal Khan’s plea for stay on Bigg Boss

The city civil court rejected the suit filed by actor Faisal Khan seeking a stay on the upcoming reality show Big Boss.

Additional sessions Judge K P Joshi refused to grant relief to Faisal who had sought for stay on the telecast of the second season of the reality show ‘Big Boss’, which will begin on August 17.

Faisal had approached the sessions court alleging that the contract signed between him, Viacomm 18 media, the newly launched Colors channel and production company Endemol, was terminated at the last moment allegedly at the behest of his brother Aamir Khan.

As Faisal was already paid a sum of Rs 5.25 lakh by the Viacom 18 media and the Colors TV as a signing amount, the court held him not eligible for any further compensation.

Faisal, one of the fourteen celebrity contestants to participate in the show had got into an agreement with the Viacom 18 media and the Colors TV to participate in a reality show Big Boss. Though the contract was signed on July 24, it stood terminated only after 15 days. Faisal, in his application, hence have made his brother and actor Aamir Khan as one of the respondents claiming that “Aamir had ensured that Faisal did not flourish professionally and a farce of medical problem was purposely created.”
