Pravesh Rana to play the title role in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s adaptation of Hamlet

Pravesh Rana is all set to take a plunge into Bollywood playing the title role in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s adaptation of Hamlet and says he couldn’t have asked for a better film to debut with.

The 27-year-old, who won the Mr India title in 2008, is looking forward to step into the Hindi film industry playing the lead in the Shakespearean tragedy.

“I play the lead role in the adaptation of Hamlet and I could not have asked for anything better than this for a beginning. With Tigmanshu in hold of the direction, the expectations are high, no doubt. I will try my best,” Rana said.

Given the intensity of the character and the responsibilities attached to justifying the legendary role, Rana said he will be taking up acting workshops.

The former model, who shot to fame with the hit reality show Bigg Boss 3, said that Hamlet will be adapted to a contemporary setting in North India for the film.
